
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The 2026 FIFA World Cup is entering the knockout stages where 32 teams will compete at higher level. This year’s format will see 12 group winners and 12 runners-up automatically qualify for round 32. Meanwhile, the third-place table will give its eight best finishers a chance to secure their tickets to the knockout stages.
Two weeks into the international tournament, here are the current standings of all 48 nations.
Which World Cup Teams have been eliminated?
Multiple nations have officially been eliminated from the 2026 World Cup, ending their journey with what seems to be disappointment in many ways, according to The Independent and ESPN.
For the second time ever, Haiti exited the group stage without earning a single point, while Turkey also endured a frustrating campaign. On the other hand, Tunisia was unable to progress beyond the group stage, despite competing in the tournament for the seventh time.
Some other eliminated World Cup teams also include:
Group B: Qatar
Group C: Haiti
Group D: Turkey
Group F: Tunisia
Group J: Jordan
Group L: Panama
Which World Cup Teams are through the knockout stages?
As the group stage comes to a close, 16 nations will see their World Cup journeys end before the knockout rounds begin.
So far, seven teams have already secured their places in the next stage after winning each of their opening two matches, becoming the first sides to officially punch their tickets to the Round of 32.
