TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The final week of the 2025/2026 Serie A season will be played from Saturday, May 23, to Monday, May 25, with the battle for the remaining UEFA Champions League spots dominating attention ahead of the decisive 38th round.
Inter Milan and Napoli have already secured qualification for next season’s Champions League. The two remaining places are still being contested by AC Milan, AS Roma, Como, and Juventus.
All decisive matches involving the four clubs will be played simultaneously on Monday, May 25, at 01:45 AM WIB.
AC Milan currently sit third in the standings with 70 points and are considered to be in the strongest position. Coached by Massimiliano Allegri, Milan will host Cagliari at San Siro and are favored to win against the lower-ranked side.
However, Milan still need a consistent performance after struggling in several recent matches. A victory would guarantee their return to the Champions League without relying on results elsewhere.
AS Roma are level on points with Milan and remain firmly in contention. The Giallorossi will travel to face Hellas Verona at the Marcantonio Bentegodi Stadium.
Roma are widely expected to claim all three points, especially with Verona already relegated. Still, the hosts are likely to fight for a positive result in front of their home supporters in their final match of the season.
Meanwhile, Como face a difficult away fixture against Cremonese at the Stadio Giovanni Zini. Cremonese are still battling to avoid relegation, making the encounter potentially tense and highly competitive.
Como not only need a positive result but must also hope both Milan and Roma drop points to keep alive their chances of qualifying for Europe’s top club competition.
Juventus are under similar pressure ahead of the Derby della Mole against Torino. The Turin giants must secure a victory while also hoping for favorable results elsewhere.
The fierce city rivalry and Torino’s home advantage are expected to make the derby particularly intense. Anything less than a win could end Juventus’ hopes of playing in next season’s Champions League.
