TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to officially open the 2026 National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) for Central and Regional Governments, organized by the Home Affairs Ministry. Rakornas serves as a forum for the Ministry of Home Affairs to strengthen synergy between central and regional administrations.
Head of the Information Center of the Home Affairs Ministry, Benni Irwan, stated that the meeting will be held at the Sentul International Convention Center (SICC), Bogor Regency, West Java, on Monday, February 2, 2026. The event will be attended by various elements of central and regional governments, including regional leaders and the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda).
Benni said the 2026 national coordination meeting aims to provide guidance to all regional leaders, Forkopimda, and other stakeholders to support the implementation of the President's priority programs toward Indonesia Golden 2045.
"Accelerating the success of the President's priority programs to achieve food and energy sovereignty, as well as a productive and inclusive economy with a target of 8 percent economic growth," said Benni in a statement in Jakarta on Sunday, February 1, 2026.
In addition to opening the event, Prabowo will provide guidance to the participants of the national coordination meeting. He will also offer an evaluation of the government's performance during 2025. "The guidance also contains strategies to anticipate better performance in 2026," said Benni.
Benni explained that regional leaders and Forkopimda play a crucial role in ensuring the achievement of the President's priority program targets. They are the primary drivers of governance, community empowerment, and development in the regions. "Therefore, the national coordination meeting is a means to build a common understanding, strengthen coordination, and synchronize central and regional policy measures," he said.
During the forum, the Ministry of Home Affairs will present the Red and White Cabinet, including coordinating ministers, ministers, and state institution leaders, alongside elements of the TNI and Polri to serve as speakers in several thematic sessions. Each session will discuss various topics, such as economic and energy policy synergy, sustainable food sovereignty, and other strategic issues.
It is estimated that approximately 4,487 participants will attend this national coordination meeting. They consist of leaders of ministries and agencies, governors, regents, mayors, and DPRD leaders, as well as elements of Forkopimda from across Indonesia.
