TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - BTS will bring their ambitious Busan concert ‘ARIRANG’ to a big screen next month, management agency Big Hit Music announced on Thursday, May 21. The K-pop supergroup is scheduled to light the stages on June 12 and 13, and will connect with global fans on the last day of the Busan stop.
Returning to the iconic 53,000-seat venue, the ‘ARIRANG’ IN BUSAN: LIVE VIEWING will feature a real-time concert show at the Busan Asiad Main Stadium with enhanced cinema sound.
This homecoming show has energized ARMYs worldwide, not only for the live stream but also because the date coincides with the 13th anniversary of BTS’s debut. On June 13, the seven-member boy group will be performing to celebrate more than a decade of success achieved at a young age.
In South Korea, the event will be screened across the nation’s three largest cinema chains: CGV, Lotte Cinema, and Megabox. Ticket sales in South Korea are scheduled to open on May 28 at 10 a.m. local time.
For international audiences, tickets for the BTS ‘ARIRANG’ IN BUSAN: LIVE VIEWING will also go on sale on May 28, starting 9 a.m. ET, with screening times and additional details to be released through the official platform here.
The live-viewing event is set to reach audiences in more than 80 countries and regions through over 3,800 theaters worldwide. To accommodate global time differences, viewers in select areas across North America, South America, and Europe will receive delayed screenings scheduled within one to two days after the live performance.
BTS has been captivating fans worldwide with its massive ARIRANG world tour, which first kicked off in Goyang in April. Spanning 85 concerts across 34 cities throughout North America, Europe, South America, and Asia, the tour has already become the largest ever mounted by a Korean act.
The global superstars are next set to perform in Las Vegas on May 23, 24, 27, and 28, before making a highly anticipated special appearance at the 52nd American Music Awards on May 25, marking their first awards show appearance in four years.
