TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts widespread rain will fall across Jakarta on Friday afternoon.
According to the official BMKG Instagram account, @infobmkg, as quoted by Antara, light rain is predicted for Central, East, and North Jakarta on Friday afternoon. Meanwhile, moderate rain is predicted for West Jakarta and Central Jakarta, and the Thousand Islands will be shrouded in thick clouds.
Furthermore, light rain will fall evenly across Jakarta on Friday afternoon, starting at 4:00 PM WIB (UTC+7). This condition will persist until 7:00 PM Friday in West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, North Jakarta, and the Thousand Islands. Meanwhile, South and East Jakarta are expected to be shrouded in thick clouds.
From 10:00 PM until early Saturday morning, thick clouds are predicted to cover the entire Jakarta area, except for South Jakarta, where light rain is expected.
On Friday morning, most of Jakarta was covered in thick clouds, except for the Thousand Islands Regency, where light rain was predicted.
Temperatures in Jakarta on Friday are expected to range between 24 and 30 degrees Celsius. The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts wind speeds of 12 to 37 kilometers per hour.
