TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto arrived in Amman, Jordan, on Tuesday evening, February 24, 2026, local time. The Head of State is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with the King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein.
As reported by Antara, the meeting between Prabowo and the King of Jordan will take place at Al Husseiniya Palace on Wednesday afternoon, February 25, 2026. During his visit to Amman, Prabowo was accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
Prabowo Subianto's arrival in Amman was greeted by dozens of Indonesian diaspora at his hotel. Lulu, a student at the University of Jordan, admitted that she had been eagerly awaiting the moment with her friends.
She claimed that Prabowo's presence brought joy to the students in his foreign country. "We are all happy for his arrival and very proud to be able to come to Jordan," said Lulu, as quoted in an official statement from the Presidential Secretariat, Wednesday, February 25, 2026.
Lulu revealed that Prabowo had offered encouragement to the students. "Earlier, he happened to ask for encouragement for all of us studying in Jordan, and he also encouraged us," she said.
After completing his visit to Amman, President Prabowo is scheduled to leave Jordan on Wednesday afternoon.
Prior to his visit to Jordan, Prabowo had just visited London, England. Before arriving in the Land of King Charles, Prabowo had just completed a series of visits to the United States, where he met with US President Donald Trump in Washington D.C.
