TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Wonderful news comes from South Korean actress Park Shin Hye. She is expecting her second child from her marriage to actor Choi Tae Joon.
The news of her pregnancy was confirmed by her agency, Salt Entertainment, to South Korean media on April 14, 2026. In its statement, the agency also revealed the estimated due date.
"It is true that Park Shin Hye is expecting her second child. The birth is scheduled for this fall," read the statement from Salt Entertainment.
Meanwhile, Park Shin Hye is said to be in stable condition and plans to focus on prenatal care for the time being.
Park Shin Hye’s Career Journey
Park Shin Hye began her career in the entertainment industry at a young age. While still in the sixth grade of elementary school, she had already undergone training before finally making her debut through the music videos for "Do You Love Me?" and "Flower."
She gained widespread recognition after appearing in the drama Stairway to Heaven (2003), where she portrayed the younger version of the character played by Choi Ji-woo.
Her popularity continued to rise through a number of hit dramas such as Flower Boys Next Door (2013), The Heirs (2013), and Pinocchio (2014–2015).
More recently, she has starred in various titles such as Doctor Slump (2024), The Judge From Hell (2024), and Undercover Miss Hong (2026), in which she plays Hong Keum-bo, a financial investigator.
Park Shin Hye and Choi Tae Joon married in January 2022 after dating for more than four years. The couple welcomed their first child, a son, that same year.
