TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The subsidiary of PT Astra International Tbk, PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR), through its subsidiaries, PT Danusa Tambang Nusantara (DTN) and PT Energia Prima Nusantara (EPN), has established a new company, PT Nusantara Industri Nikel Lestari (NINL). The Minister of Law has approved the establishment of this new subsidiary through Decision Number AHU-0103497.AH.01.01.YEAR 2025 on December 2, 2025.

UNTR Corporate Secretary, Ari Setiyawan, stated that PT Nusantara Industri Nikel Lestari operates in the non-iron metal manufacturing industry and the metal and metal ore trading sector.

"The establishment of NINL is part of the company's group's continued diversification of its business activities through the controlled company by developing business in the nickel mineral processing and service sectors," he said in a disclosure of information at the Indonesia Stock Exchange on Wednesday, December 3, 2025.

On September 22, 2025, UNTR announced the liquidation of its inactive subsidiary, PT Tambang Karya Supra, after nine years of inactivity. The liquidation was carried out because Tambang Karya Supra has not been operational since 2016.

United Tractors Corporate Secretary Sara K Loebis stated that the liquidation process was signed in the presence of a notary in Jakarta. The company has also received a letter from the Ministry of Law on August 14, 2025, regarding the termination of Tambang Karya Supra's legal entity status.

"As a result, the Ministry of Law has recorded the termination of Tambang Karya Supra's legal entity status and has removed it from the list of companies in the Ministry of Law's Legal Entity Administration System," she said in an information disclosure at the Indonesia Stock Exchange on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.

Furthermore, Sara stated that the shareholders have also approved the liquidation. The liquidation does not impact United Tractors' operational, legal, and financial conditions.

In addition, UNTR has also signed a conditional sale and purchase agreement to acquire 99.99996 percent of the shares of a gold mining company, namely PT Arafura Surya Alam (ASA), owned by PT J Resources Nusantara on September 12, 2025. This acquisition is valued at US$540 million or around Rp8.9 trillion (assuming an exchange rate of Rp16,652 per U.S. dollar).
