TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian badminton team is set to compete at the BWF World Tour Super 300 Korea Masters 2025, held at the Wonkwang University Cultural and Sports Center in Jeonbuk, South Korea, from November 4 to 9, 2025.
A total of 11 Indonesian representatives, known as the Red and White squad, will take part in the tournament.
The team is expected to produce new champions, following the absence of defending champion Putri Kusuma Wardani, who opted out to focus on physical recovery after finishing as runner-up at last week’s Hylo Open 2025.
Putri made history in 2024 as the first Indonesian women’s singles player to win the Korea Masters, defeating China’s Han Qian Xi 21-14, 21-14. This year, the women’s singles event will feature Ni Kadek Dhinda Amartya Pratiwi, who is set to face Sung Shuo Yun of Taiwan in the opening round.
PBSI (Indonesian Badminton Association) is also giving opportunities to young players. In women’s doubles, three main pairs will compete: Isyana Syahira Meida/Rinjani Kwinnara Nastine, Siti Sarah Azzahra/Az Zahra Ditya Ramadhani, and Agnia Sri Rahayu/Velisha Christina.
In men’s doubles, Indonesia will be represented by Indonesia Masters II 2025 champions Raymond Indra/Nikolaus Joaquin, making their Super 300 debut, alongside Daniel Edgar Marvino/Muh. Putra Erwiansyah.
The mixed doubles category will feature Marwan Faza/Aisyah Salsabila Putri Pranata, also winners at the Indonesia Masters II 2025. Young talent Moh. Zaki Ubaidillah will compete in men’s singles as part of preparations for the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand.
Indonesia’s main strength in men’s singles continues to rely on senior players Anthony Sinisuka Ginting and Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo, both entering from the round of 32.
