TEMPO.CO, Tangerang - PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney) Branch Office at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Banten, has ensured its readiness to provide facilities and services for the hajj season which will be held in May 2025.

Soekarno-Hatta Airport General Manager, Dwi Ananda Wicaksana, stated the preparation of facilities by Angkasa Pura, particularly the special hajj and umrah terminal services. One of them is related to the Makkah Route service.

"In principle, the basic hajj services have been conducted several times at Soekarno-Hatta Airport. Previously, it was held at Terminal 2D, and now we have a fairly comfortable and good umrah terminal. This means that we also want to provide better service to the hajj pilgrims," Dwi said in Tangerang, on Sunday, April 13, 2025, as quoted by Antara.

He mentioned that the Makkah Route service, which was previously located at Terminal 2D of Soekarno-Hatta Airport, will be moved to Terminal 2F. This is because all hajj and umrah services will be centralized at that terminal.

"Therefore, we from PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia, have decided to conduct it at Terminal 2F, and this is still under discussion with the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Saudi Arabian government," explained Dwi.

Physically, facilities for the hajj season have been prepared by Angkasa Pura Indonesia, but there is still coordination with the Saudi Arabian government, Ministry of Religious Affairs, and airlines.

"Physically we are ready, it's just a matter of further arrangements from the Ministry, from Saudi Airlines, and others. Continuous coordination is still ongoing, but physically, Soekarno-Hatta Airport is ready," he said.

There are plans for three airlines to transport Indonesian hajj pilgrims, namely Garuda Indonesia, Saudi Airlines, and Lion Air. According to the official website of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the total hajj quota for Indonesia this year is 221,000 pilgrims. This number consists of 203,320 regular pilgrim quotas and 17,680 special hajj pilgrim quotas.

"There are three airlines that will transport Indonesian hajj pilgrims, namely Garuda Indonesia, Saudi Airlines, and Lion Air. Possibly at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, in the Pondok Gede embarkation, Cipondoh, part of West Java, it will be divided into two, there are Kertajati and Soekarno-Hatta," said Dwi.
