TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Shares of PT Rans Entertainment Indonesia Tbk. (RANS) jumped on their trading debut on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on Friday, July 10, with the stock surging 34.12 percent during the morning session.

The media and entertainment company founded by celebrity couple Raffi Ahmad and Nagita Slavina offered 2.525 billion new shares, equivalent to 20.02 percent of its issued and fully paid capital, at an initial public offering (IPO) price of Rp170 per share.

By the morning trading session, RANS shares had climbed to Rp228, significantly above the offering price. The IPO raised Rp429.25 billion (US$26.3 million).

"I want to prove that a big name can become a vehicle for something good," Raffi said during the listing ceremony at the IDX building in Jakarta on Friday.

Stock Debut and Fund Allocation

According to the company's prospectus, 37.61 percent of the IPO proceeds (equivalent to Rp161.5 billion) will be allocated to expand its concert and event organizing business as part of its long-term growth strategy.

RANS will also allocate around Rp85 billion, or 19.8 percent of the funds raised, to acquire a 51 percent stake in PT Rans Kosmetika Indonesia.

Another Rp80 billion, representing 18.64 percent of the proceeds, will be used to develop Cipungland, the company's family-oriented play-and-learn facility.

Meanwhile, Rp35 billion, or 8.15 percent of the IPO proceeds, has been earmarked for investment in artificial intelligence joint venture PT Feedloop Global Teknologi.

The remaining funds will be allocated to strengthen the company's financial position, including Rp29.95 billion for partial repayment of investment credit facilities and Rp37.8 billion to boost the working capital of PT Rans Nikmat Sejahtera.

From Family Content to Business Ecosystem

During the listing ceremony, Nagita Slavina said RANS began in 2016 as a digital content channel documenting the family's daily life from a garage.

Over the years, the company has evolved into what it describes as a creator-based venture, transforming the creativity and audience reach of content creators into commercially valuable intellectual property and businesses.

Nagita said the company's growth is reflected in collaborations with more than 300 brands that have partnered with RANS.

Today, the company operates an ecosystem spanning digital entertainment and media, intellectual property development, consumer products, brand partnerships, and artificial intelligence-based technology.

Supported by hundreds of professionals across its business units, RANS aims to capitalize on Indonesia's rapidly expanding digital economy and creator industry.
