TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The trading arm of state-owned oil and gas giant Pertamina, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, has lowered the prices of its non-subsidized 12-kilogram and 5.5-kilogram Bright Gas LPG products effective July 14, 2026. Across the Java region, prices have dropped by Rp8,000 per cylinder for the 12-kg variant and Rp4,000 per cylinder for the 5.5-kg variant.
Pertamina Patra Niaga Corporate Communications Vice President Kitty Andhora stated that the price cut followed a routine product evaluation that takes market dynamics into account.
"Bright Gas prices are reviewed periodically by considering various factors that influence market conditions, while still adhering to established mechanisms," Kitty said in a written statement on Wednesday, July 15, 2026.
Under the new pricing structure, the cost of a 12-kg Bright Gas cylinder in Java has fallen from Rp228,000 to Rp220,000. Meanwhile, the 5.5-kg cylinder has decreased from Rp107,000 to Rp103,000.
Kitty explained that these rates represent agent-level retail prices for the Java region, which took effect on July 14, 2026. Prices in other parts of the country may vary depending on local regional policies.
"In addition to offering more competitive rates, we remain committed to ensuring the quality of Bright Gas is maintained so the public can enjoy safe, practical, and premium LPG for their household needs," Kitty said.
