TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Head of Indonesia's National Nutrition Body (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, stated that a partner foundation for free nutritious meals is allowed to only manage a maximum of 10 MBG (Free Nutritious Meal Program) kitchens in one province. Dadan conveyed this in response to reports indicating that there are individuals associated with foundations that have dozens of Free Nutritious Meal Program kitchens in one region.
"BGN has established that one foundation can only manage 10 kitchens for the same province. So, if they move to another province, it's only five, that's for sure, unless the foundations are affiliated with institutions, which we have already limited," he said in Jakarta on Monday, November 17, 2025.
Dadan emphasized that registration as a BGN partner can only be done through the partner.bgn.go.id portal. BGN will professionally select partners who have registered according to the established provisions.
"BGN never knows who registers because our basis is professionalism, completeness, and capability," he said.
Currently, there are a total of 15,267 Free Nutritious Meal Program kitchens. All existing kitchens have been built through partnership schemes. BGN has also launched the Interactive Nutrition Complaint Center Channel (SAGI) 127 to handle complaints about the MBG Program which operates 24 hours a day.
One of the complaints that can be reported, according to Dadan, is related to the misuse of Free Nutritious Meal Program kitchens by certain individuals in various regions.
All SAGI 127 operators are BGN employees who have been trained to understand the concept of nutritious meals, so any issues raised by the public can be promptly addressed and the complaints will be properly followed up. "They must be connected to current issues," he said.
