TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports) predicts the flow of passengers during the 2026 Christmas and New Year holidays to reach 9,035,958 passengers, reflecting a 3.8 percent growth. According to the President Director of InJourney Airports, Mohammad Rizal Pahlevi, the peak of air travel departures is expected on December 20-21, 2025. He stated, "The return flow of the Nataru holiday is predicted to occur on January 3-4, 2026," on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.

Rizal ensures the readiness of 37 airports in serving the public during the Nataru holiday period. Preparations include integrated operations, facility readiness, personnel deployment, and support for information technology systems. He said all airports will be supported by the Nataru 2025/2026 Transportation Integrated Post. "We are preparing to operate an integrated post at the InJourney Airports headquarters, as well as in 6 regional offices and 37 airports during the planned 18-day period from December 18, 2025, to January 4, 2026," he added.

The airport's integrated post serves as a collaboration platform for all stakeholders, including InJourney Airports as the airport operator, the Airport Authority Office, airlines, ground handling operators, the military, police, BMKG (Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency), AirNav Indonesia, Ministry of Health, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of airports and services to the public. InJourney Airports prepares airport facilities and personnel.

According to Rizal, all procedures and protocols continue to be implemented to ensure the readiness of airport operation facilities and services, both on the air side (runway, taxiway, apron) and the land side (passenger aircraft terminals and cargo terminals). Regarding personnel, InJourney Airports has deployed a total of about 16,000 personnel at all airports to support safety, security, and services.

Security aspects are supported by the military and police, in addition to Aviation Security. As for services, there are customer service personnel, digital service, and golf car assistants at several airports. Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) personnel are always on standby.

InJourney Airports also ensures the readiness of information technology facilities as one of the key factors for the smooth operation and services at InJourney Airports. The operational facilities of several airports under InJourney Airports are supported by state-of-the-art technology, including the Airports Operation Control Center (AOCC) to monitor real-time airport operations and optimize facilities with pre-operation, in-operation, and post-operation procedures.

The Terminal Operation Control (TOC) serves as the information and command center in the airport terminal area, and the Management Operation Based on Traffic (MOT) system. The MOT system owned by InJourney Airports can predict passenger movements and recommend the required facilities and human resources to ensure smooth and proper service standards for airport users.

Currently, InJourney Airports is preparing all their managed airports to be available 24 hours a day as needed by airlines. "All airports are operated 24 hours to meet the needs of airlines," said Rizal.

If an airline intends to operate flights outside the operating hours of an airport, the airport will adjust to serve flights at the required times. "The slot time available at each airport will be optimized to accommodate the air travel needs of the public," added Rizal.
