TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Train tickets for H-1 Eid Al-Fitr departures, scheduled for Friday, March 20, 2026, are now open for booking starting Tuesday, February 3, 2026.
PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) (KAI) Operation Region 6 Yogyakarta reported that as of February 2, tickets for H-2 Eid Al-Fitr, Thursday, March 19, had already sold 20,913 seats.
Feni Novida Saragih, Public Relations Manager of KAI Operation Region 6 Yogyakarta, said the numbers indicate that many tickets are still available for H-1 departures.
“We encourage the public to plan their trips now to take advantage of the remaining ticket availability,” Feni said in Solo on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.
She added that this year, H-1 coincides with a long weekend, likely increasing travel demand. Passengers are advised to confirm their departure dates, ensure a stable internet connection, and monitor ticket availability regularly, as unpaid reservations automatically return to the system.
“If tickets for your preferred dates are sold out, you can choose earlier or later departures or use the Connecting Train feature in the official Access by KAI app,” Feni said.
KAI also reminded passengers to purchase tickets only through official channels: the Access by KAI app, the kai.id website, or authorized partners, to avoid illegal resellers or excessive fees.
Ticket sales for Eid Al-Fitr 2026 began gradually on January 25, covering departures from H-10 to H+10 of the holiday, which falls on April 1, 2026. The H-1 ticket release starting today is a key opportunity for travelers seeking a smooth and comfortable homecoming.
“KAI Operation Region 6 Yogyakarta is committed to providing safe, comfortable, and punctual service during Eid Al-Fitr 2026, ensuring a seamless travel experience for all passengers,” Feni said.
With ticket sales now open and availability still ample, potential passengers are urged to book immediately, especially for the high-demand H-1 departure on March 20, 2026.
