TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian Presidential Spokesperson Prasetyo Hadi confirmed President Prabowo Subianto's decision to transfer the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) area assets to the Sovereign Wealth Agency Daya Anagata Nusantara (Danantara). "Correct, that is the direction from Bapak President since he gave directives at a Danantara town hall event a few days ago," said Prasetyo in his written message on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.
The State Secretary Minister stated that the government needs time to prepare the technicalities of transferring GBK assets under the State Secretariat Ministry, which is managed under the State-Owned Enterprises. "Certainly, there are differences compared to the transfer process of assets in SOEs. So please be patient," he said.
Previously, Danantara CEO, Rosan Roeslani, announced that the investment agency would manage the GBK Complex Management Center assets. Danantara will take the assets under the State Secretariat Ministry. "So, everything that was previously under Setneg (State Secretariat) will be under Danantara," said Rosan Roeslani to the media after the Town Hall Meeting at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) on Monday, April 28, 2025.
Rosan Roeslani responded to President Prabowo Subianto's statement that Danantara's wealth would reach US$1 trillion. Now, the assets managed by Danantara from the SOEs have reached US$900 billion. According to Rosan Roeslani, the actual value of Danantara's assets is already more than that because there is other wealth to be added, namely the GBK assets and other State Secretariat assets. He mentioned that last year, the value even reached US$25 billion. "So, GBK and all locations here will be included in Danantara," he said.
