TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Aurora chasers across the United States are in for a dazzling treat as a powerful solar storm approaches Earth, set to illuminate the night skies with the northern lights. According to USA Today, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration aurora forecast map indicates that the celestial display could be visible across 21 states, reaching as far south as Alabama and California.
As USA Today and the Burlington Free Press highlight, the aurora borealis will begin on Tuesday, November 11, and may continue into the early hours of Wednesday, November 12. The best viewing window is expected between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. Central Time.

Be sure to wear warm clothing as well, and spend around 30 minutes in the dark to let your eyes adapt to the darkness.
