TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Minister of Investment and Downstream CEO of the Indonesian Investment Authority (BPI Danantara) Rosan Roeslani stated that the King of Jordan, Hasyimiah Raja Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, offered three strategic projects to Danantara as a form of strengthening investment relations between the two countries.
"Directly from King Jordan (King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Hasyimiah Raja Abdullah II bin Al Hussein) also conveyed the potential projects or collaborations offered to us. Danantara has three projects," said Rosan after accompanying Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto in meeting with the King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Hasyimiah Raja Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, at a hotel in Jakarta on Saturday, November 15, 2025.
He mentioned that the offer includes gas pipeline projects, construction of toll roads, and the logistics sector, which are considered in line with Danantara's investment portfolio.
Rosan explained that King Abdullah of Jordan first asked for an overview of Danantara's return projection before finally presenting the three projects that are deemed suitable for the institution's investment character.
The alignment between Danantara's return profile and the potential projects from Jordan becomes a strong basis for the company to consider strategic collaboration that opens up wider economic cooperation.
"So, he (King of Jordan) offers these three projects. And previously, he also asked us, myself, about Danantara's return, it turns out that it fits with Danantara's return," said Rosan.
According to him, the offer will also be followed up with a thorough evaluation carried out under the direction of President Prabowo Subianto as a form of government support for productive and measured investment expansion.
"So he offers and we will follow up and also evaluate with the direct blessing from President Prabowo to be able to study the projects offered by the Kingdom of Jordan," he said.
Danantara plans to send a special team to further examine the technical, financial, and implementational aspects of each project proposed by the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The field review process is expected to produce a comprehensive study that can serve as the basis for Danantara's strategic decisions in strengthening cooperation with Jordan while expanding international investment footprint.
