TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The National Central Bureau (NCB) of Interpol Indonesia at the National Police (Polri) International Relations Division has arrested Jimmy Lie, a fugitive in a bribery case involving the Complete Systematic Land Registration (PTSL) program in Tangerang. Authorities apprehended Jimmy in Malaysia on Sunday, March 8, 2026.
The Head of Jiantra NCB Interpol Polri, Senior Commissioner Ricky Purnama, stated that Jimmy had been on the red notice list since September 22, 2025. After detecting Jimmy's whereabouts, Interpol Polri immediately initiated intensive coordination with Malaysian authorities.
"This success began with intensive coordination between the Polri International Relations Division team and the Immigration authorities in Putrajaya," Ricky said in a written statement on Monday, March 9, 2026.
Malaysian Immigration authorities arrested Jimmy, accompanied by technical staff from the Indonesian National Police at the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Penang.
