TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - British DJ and producer Fatboy Slim, the stage name of Norman Cook, will return to Australia in March 2027 for a seven-date tour across four cities.
The tour will take him to Fremantle, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, including a three-night run at Carriageworks in Sydney from March 5 to 7.
Fatboy Slim to Play Outdoor and Urban Venues
According to Billboard, Fatboy Slim said he wanted the Australia tour to feature more intimate and unconventional venues, including outdoor and urban spaces.
“For this tour to Australia I wanted to get up close with my people, play venues with real atmosphere and have a proper party,” he said in a statement, as quoted by Rolling Stone Australia.
“Bridges, rivers, parks, old railway sheds – if it’s a bit weird and the sound system’s loud enough, I’m there.”
The seven-date Australia tour is scheduled as follows:
March 3: Esplanade Park, Fremantle, Western Australia
March 5: Carriageworks, Sydney, New South Wales
March 6: Carriageworks, Sydney, New South Wales
March 7: Carriageworks, Sydney, New South Wales
March 10: On The Banks, Brisbane, Queensland
March 12: The Underpass, Melbourne, Victoria
March 13: The Underpass, Melbourne, Victoria
Fans can expect to hear some of his best-known tracks, including “Right Here Right Now,” “Praise You” and “Weapon of Choice.”
The DJ is also expected to perform more recent releases, including “Satisfaction Skank,” a mash-up of his “The Rockafeller Skank” and The Rolling Stones’ “Satisfaction,” and “Funk Drunk,” his collaboration with Brazilian DJ Carola and Felix Da Housecat.
Fatboy Slim Marks 30 Years of Debut Album
The Australia tour comes as Fatboy Slim celebrates a major milestone for his debut album, Better Living Through Chemistry, which turns 30 this year.
The album will be reissued digitally on September 25 through BMG, followed by special-edition LP and CD releases on October 2.
Fatboy Slim has also performed at major events this year, including Coachella, Brighton Beach and Rock in Rio in Brazil.
His 1998 follow-up album, You've Come a Long Way, Baby, reached No. 1 in the United Kingdom for four weeks and further established him as a prominent figure in electronic music.
