TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (JJC) recorded 39,085 vehicles leaving Jakarta via the Mohammed Bin Zayed (MBZ) Elevated Toll Road on Friday, March 13.
"The number represents a 25.84 percent increase compared to the normal traffic, which was recorded at 31,060 vehicles," said GM of Operations and Maintenance at PT JJC, Desti Anggraeni, as quoted by Antara on Sunday, March 15, 2026.
She explained that the increase in the volume of vehicles was also experienced in the opposite direction, from the east to Jakarta in the same area and time period. The volume of vehicles reached 28,669, an 18.58 percent increase from the daily normal traffic of 24,177 vehicles.
Overall, the total number of vehicles passing through the MBZ Elevated Toll Road in both directions on the H-8 of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah reached 67,754 vehicles. Desti mentioned that the increase in traffic volume also signifies the start of the annual exodus or the community's mobility as it approaches the peak of the 2026 Eid Homecoming.
Jasamarga continues to urge road users crossing the MBZ Elevated Toll Road to prioritize safety in order to support the smoothness and safety of the journey.
Road users are asked to ensure that the driver and vehicle are in prime condition, to maintain sufficient power and fuel. It is also important to anticipate potential weather changes, especially rain, which can affect visibility and road conditions.
"We ask all drivers and travelers to always prioritize safety so that the journey can proceed safely and comfortably to the destination," she said.
Road users can also access the latest information and request traffic services on toll roads through the 24-hour call center of the Jasa Marga Group at 133, Twitter @PTJASAMARGA, and the Travoy 4.5 application.
