TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has forecasted heavy rain accompanied by thunder and strong winds to pour over most areas of Jabodetabek (Greater Jakarta area) on Monday evening, October 27, 2025. Localized rain is likely to fall in West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, East Jakarta, South Jakarta, and then in the city of Depok, Bogor Regency and City, Tangerang Regency and City, South Tangerang City, as well as Bekasi Regency.
Referring to the 24-hour weather forecast published by BMKG at 7:00 PM yesterday, light rain has fallen in parts of the Thousand Islands early Monday morning. The majority of Jakarta and its satellite cities tend to have thick clouds.
From 7:00 AM until midday, there are a few areas in Jakarta that are partly cloudy, as well as mostly cloudy. Light-intensity rain is predicted to start falling in some areas of North Jakarta, Thousand Islands, Bekasi Regency, and the entire Bogor area. The air humidity throughout the day is around 70-98 percent.
From daytime towards evening, around 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM, the areas affected by rain will expand. Light to moderate rain is expected to pour over some areas of West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, East Jakarta, and South Jakarta. Similar predictions also apply to Depok City, most of the Bogor and Tangerang areas, South Tangerang City, and the majority of the Bekasi region.
Compared to last week, when there was hot weather, the temperature in Jakarta and its surrounding areas is now milder. The air temperature in Jabodetabek ranges from 24-30 degrees Celsius. The temperature in Bogor is even lower, at around 20-30 degrees Celsius.
