TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Travelers visiting Singapore can take part in the Singapore Food Festival (SFF). The 32nd edition of this festival will be held from September 4 to 24, 2025. This year's theme for the festival is "Have You Eaten Yet?" which highlights the love and relationships formed through food.
The festival director and managing director of Blake Harris Entertainment (BHE), Blake Harris, stated that the SFF is more than just a celebration of food; it also pays homage to the deep connections formed through food.
"The 2025 edition will feature over 15 events that celebrate the 'people, stories and creativity behind Singapore’s vibrant culinary scene,'" he said, as quoted from Travel and Leisure Asia.
Special Highlight Events
This festival features three special events that bring together local and international culinary talents. These include Rempapa chef Damian D'Silva; Adriano Zumbo, a world-renowned Australian patissier; and Kenny Chung, the executive chef at InterContinental Singapore.
In addition, there are several notable events, including pop-up activations, culinary tours, and a heritage festival, taking place throughout the city. This also includes partnerships and affiliations with restaurants and bars across the island, offering limited menus and exclusive dining experiences throughout the month. For example, Le Pristine Singapore will present a menu that reinterprets local flavors through a modern European perspective.
Some highlighted events:
1. Food Truck City Tours
This roving pop-up will feature various culinary stations scattered across different locations throughout the island, including Ocean Financial Center (OFC), Keppel South Central, Downtown East, and Geneo. Visitors can explore a variety of trucks and sample innovative creations from local chefs.
For instance, chefs from IHG hotels in Singapore have curated a range of dishes, from Buttery Chicken Taco with Salted Egg to Laksa with Baby Abalone. Hello Arigato highlights Japanese fusion dishes such as the exclusive Singapore Satay Sando, consisting of layers of tender marinated chicken, spiced pineapple jam, and creamy satay sauce.
2. The Long Table
The Long Table is one of the most anticipated events at SFF 2025. The event, held on September 12-13, brings together five Singaporean chefs to create a menu of five unique dishes that celebrate the richness of Singapore's culinary heritage. Paired with cocktails from The Heritage Bar, the event showcases creative reinterpretations of classic heritage drinks alongside innovative modern creations.
3. Food Art
This September 5-6 event combines cuisine with fashion, design, and music. You can also enjoy these sweet treats alongside special cocktails crafted by renowned mixologists.
4. Future Food
Future Food explores how we will eat and drink in the decades to come. Local food technology innovators, sustainable startups, and visionary chefs will curate the future menu. Guests will embark on an experiential journey showcasing the evolution from lab-grown meat to a zero-waste menu. Enjoy innovative dishes while taking in the breathtaking skyline views from the 72nd floor, on September 19-20.
5. A Taste of Time: Chinatown Complex
Visitors can join a guided tour at Chinatown Complex and learn more about Singapore's largest hawker center.
