TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bali and Jakarta have been distinguished among the top 100 destinations worldwide according to the Trip.Best Global Rankings 2025. Bali secured 10th position, while Jakarta ranked 41st. Notably, a total of 35 esteemed hotels, restaurants, and attractions throughout Indonesia have also been included in this prestigious list.
Trip.com, one of the world's leading online travel service provider, recently unveiled the Trip.Best Global Rankings 2025. This compilation represents the second annual edition from Trip.com, showcasing the 100 best destinations, hotel accommodations, attractions, dining establishments, and nightlife entertainment venues across Asia and the globe.
The rankings are compiled using a combination of AI-powered data analysis, traveler reviews, and expert opinions. Trip.Best aims to showcase high-quality travel destinations with consistent service standards, strong demand, positive user feedback, and unique features.
Krishna Arya, General Manager of Trip.com Indonesia, stated on Thursday, April 17, 2025, that Indonesia's inclusion in the Trip.Best Global Rankings 2025 signifies its growing prominence as a top global and Asian destination.
Krishna added that Trip.Best leverages Trip.com's extensive data, including millions of customer reviews, year-round sales data, quality assurance metrics, and features across various travel categories, all validated by Trip.com users.
"The Trip.Best results are intended to help travelers plan optimal vacation experiences," he said.
The Trip.Best Global Rankings 2025 includes Global 100 and Asia 100 lists, along with new categories like Europe 100, Americas 100, Water Fun (beaches, islands, water parks), and Fall Views (autumn foliage destinations).
The Accommodation category highlights top global choices, from luxury city hotels to family resorts. Bali's luxury hotel scene is well-represented in the Global 100 Luxury Hotels, with properties like Amankila (#11), Mandapa - a Ritz Carlton Reserve (#13), Bvlgari Resort (#14), and Raffles in Bali (#39) making the cut.
Meanwhile, the "Instagrammable Hotels" category, recognizing visually appealing accommodations for social media, includes Jakarta's The Langham and The Orient Jakarta, a Royal Hideaway Hotel.
