TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A plane owned by BRO Skydive Indonesia with registration number PK-WMP reportedly crashed in the area of Kertawaluya Village, Tirtamulya District, Karawang, West Java, on Friday evening, November 21, 2025.
Based on the information received by the Karawang District Police (Polres), all crew members were declared safe. The plane, which flew from Tangerang to Cirebon, carried five crew members.
"Further data is still under investigation. A joint team is in the field to ensure the current conditions and handle the situation," said the Head of the Public Relations Section of the Karawang District Police, Inspector Dua Cep Wildan, in a written statement.
A combined team consisting of members from the Indonesian National Police (Polri), the Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI), the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), and local government officials has been deployed and is en route to the location to conduct an investigation. The team will also carry out evacuations and secure the aircraft crash site.
The surrounding residents were the first to know about the incident. They saw the plane having trouble before it eventually crashed in an open area of the village. As of now, there have been no reports of casualties or damage to public facilities.
The Karawang District Police stated that further information will be provided after the identification and examination process is completed.
