TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The total amount of money circulated in online gambling throughout 2025 reached Rp286.84 trillion. This was revealed from the study conducted by Indonesia's Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK).

The Coordinator of the Public Relations Substantive Group at PPATK, Natsir Kongah, stated that based on PPATK findings throughout 2025, there were 422.1 million online gambling transactions with a total deposit of Rp36.01 trillion.

"A total of 12.3 million people made judol (online gambling) deposits through various channels such as banks, e-wallets, and QRIS," said Natsir in his official statement on Thursday, January 29, 2026.

Natsir explained that money circulation actually decreased by 20 percent compared to 2024, amounting to Rp359.81 trillion. This trend was followed by a decrease in online gambling deposits, amounting to Rp51.3 trillion in 2024.

Despite the decline, these online gambling transactions still dominate as suspicious transactions received by PPATK. Of the 183,281 reports of suspicious financial transactions, 47.49 percent originated from criminal acts related to fraud.

Furthermore, 18.71 percent were related to fraud, and 5.73 percent were related to corruption.

Throughout 2025, PPATK received 42,723,286 reports of financial transactions, an increase of 25.5 percent from the previous year, which received only 35,650,984.

Out of the total reports sent to PPATK, there were 994 analysis results, 17 examination results, and 529 pieces of information submitted to investigators and ministries/agencies.

"The total amount of funds analyzed was Rp2,085.48 trillion," said Natsir.
