TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Netflix swept five awards at the 5th Blue Dragon Series Awards in South Korea, including actress Kim Go Eun's award for her role in "You and Everything Else."
Kim Go Eun took home the Grand Prize (Daesang), while Netflix won five awards overall from 24 nominations, as reported by What's on Netflix on Friday (July 31).
In the drama category, Netflix won awards for Best Actress through Shin Hae Sun and Best Supporting Actress through Park Bo Kyung for "The Art of Sarah." The acting category also saw Jeon So Young win Best New Actress for her performance in "If Wishes Could Kill."
In the non-drama category, the reality show "Better Late Than Single" was named Best Entertainment Program, beating out two other Netflix nominees: "Jae Seok's B&B Rules!" and the second season of "Culinary Class Wars."
Although it didn't win, "Jae Seok's B&B Rules!" became one of Netflix's most nominated shows, with five nominations spanning program, host, and newcomer categories.
In total, Netflix nominated 10 original shows for this year's Blue Dragon Series Awards, including "You and Everything Else," "The Art of Sarah," "If Wishes Could Kill," "Better Late Than Single," "Jae Seok's B&B Rules!", "Culinary Class Wars" (Season 2), "Aema," "Can This Love Be Translated?", "Genie, Make a Wish," and "Single's Inferno."
