TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Ahead of the visit by King Abdullah II of Jordan, the police are diverting traffic on eight main roads in Jakarta on Friday, November 14, 2025, starting from 4:00 p.m. local time, with no specified end time for the day. The traffic diversion will continue the next day, starting at 10:30 a.m.
"As a form of respect, there will be traffic diversion and escort on several major roads in Jakarta," according to the official @TMCPoldaMetro account.
During this time, road closures will be in effect when the state guests' convoy passes through. The convoy will travel through several main roads in Central, South, and East Jakarta.
The routes include Jalan Gatot Subroto, Jalan Sudirman, Jalan M.H. Thamrin, Jalan Merdeka Barat, Jalan H.R. Rasuna Said, Jalan H.O.S. Cokroaminoto, Jalan Raya Pondok Gede, and Jalan Mayjen Sutoyo.
King Abdullah II's visit to Indonesia is part of his Asia tour. Across the region, the Jordan King is set to visit Japan, Vietnam, Singapore, and Pakistan.
In Indonesia, King Abdullah II is scheduled to meet with representatives from the sovereign wealth fund Danantara, and together with President Prabowo Subianto, witness the signing of a bilateral memorandum of understanding.
Earlier, Prabowo visited Jordan on April 14, 2025. He met with King Abdullah II at the Al Husseiniya Palace, Amman, on the second day of his visit to the country.
During the visit, the two leaders witnessed the signing of three MoUs and one defense cooperation agreement between Indonesia and Jordan. Jordan was the final stop for Prabowo in his series of state visits to five Middle Eastern countries last April.
