Israel Orders Eviction of Palestinians in Central Gaza, Threatens New Strikes

9 hours ago 2

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Israeli military on Saturday, June 28, 2025, issued evacuation orders for Palestinian residents and threatened to strike towns in the central Gaza Strip.

Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee shared a map on X, as reported by Anadolu, highlighting central Gaza with numbered sections and areas marked in red as “evacuation zones.”

Adraee warned of imminent attacks on several towns, including Nuseirat, Al-Zahra, Al-Mughraqa, Al-Nuzha, Al-Bawadi, Al-Basma, Al-Bustan, Badr, Abu Huraira, Al-Rawda, and Al-Safa. He labeled these towns as “dangerous conflict zones” and claimed that rocket fire from Palestinian factions was continuing. Residents were ordered to evacuate to Al-Mawasi in the south, which he described as a “safe zone.”

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has repeatedly issued forced relocation orders for Palestinians using a block-based map to divide the Gaza Strip. More than 90 percent of Gaza’s 1.8 million residents have been displaced at least once due to Israeli air and ground offensives.

Despite growing international pressure for a ceasefire, Israel has continued its military operations in Gaza. The campaign has killed more than 56,000 Palestinians, the majority of whom are women and children.

In November 2024, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, accusing them of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Additionally, Israel is currently facing a genocide case at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) over its conduct in the enclave.
