TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated several state officials at the State Palace, Jakarta, on Monday, August 25, 2025. The Head of State inaugurated the Vice Chairperson of the Supreme Court, the leaders of the Minerals Industry Agency, the leaders of the North Coast of Java Authority, the heads of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN), the head of the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT), and Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors (dubes LBBP).
The inauguration was conducted in three sessions. In the first session, Prabowo inaugurated the Vice Chairperson of the Supreme Court in the Judicial Field, Suharto. The appointment was stipulated in Presidential Decree Number 71P of 2025 concerning the honorable dismissal of the Vice Chairperson of the Supreme Court in the non-judicial field and the appointment of the Vice Chairman of the Supreme Court in the judicial field.
In the second session, Prabowo inaugurated the leaders of the North Coast of Java Authority, the leaders of the Minerals Industry Agency, and the head of the BNN.
Prabowo inaugurated Rear Admiral (Ret.) Didit Herdiawan Ashar as the Head of the North Coast of Java Authority. The Head of State then inaugurated Darwin Trisna Djajawinata and Suhanar Diantoro as the Deputy Heads of the North Coast of Java Authority.
The appointment was stipulated in Presidential Decree Number 76P of 2025 concerning the appointment of the head and deputy head of the North Coast of Java Authority.
Prabowo also appointed Brian Yuliarto as the Head of the Minerals Industry Agency. Brian currently serves as the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology. His appointment was stipulated in Presidential Decree Number 77P of 2025 concerning the appointment of the Head of the Minerals Industry Agency.
Prabowo also appointed Suyudi Ario Seto as the Head of the BNN. This was stipulated in Presidential Decree Number 118 TPA of 2025 concerning the dismissal and appointment of high-ranking positions within the BNN.
Subsequently, Eddy Hartono was appointed as the Head of the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT). The appointment was regulated in Presidential Decree Number 117 TPA of 2025 concerning the dismissal and appointment of high-ranking positions within the BNPT.
In the third session, Prabowo inaugurated eight ambassadors. Their appointment was regulated in Presidential Decree Number 75P of 2024 concerning the dismissal and appointment of extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassadors of the Republic of Indonesia.
Prabowo inaugurated Toferry Primada Soetikno as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the United Mexican States, concurrently to Belize, the Republic of El Salvador, and the Republic of Guatemala. Then, Dwisuryo Indroyono Soesilo was appointed as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the United States of America.
After that, Prabowo inaugurated Andhika Chrisnayudhanto as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Federative Republic of Brazil. Then, Abdul Kadir Jaelani was appointed as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Federal Republic of Germany.
Prabowo also appointed Judha Nugraha as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the United Arab Emirates. Then, Imam As'ari was appointed as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Republic of Ecuador.
The Head of State also inaugurated Umar Hadi as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the United Nations, other international organizations in New York, and the International Seabed Authority (ISA). Then Prabowo inaugurated Sidharto Reza Suryodipuro as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the United Nations, the World Trade Organization, and other international organizations in Geneva.
Prabowo then administered the oath to the officials. They pledged allegiance to the 1945 Constitution and to adhere to all laws and regulations with utmost honesty. "I will uphold the ethics of office and work to the best of my ability with full responsibility," Prabowo said to the state officials.
Prabowo, wearing a gray suit and a black cap, then signed the inauguration documents. Prabowo proceeded to shake hands with several officials.
