Indonesia and Asian Stock Markets Drop 0.24% This Afternoon

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesia Composite Index (IHSG) weakened by 0.24 percent in the first trading session today, Friday, November 21, 2025. IHSG parked at 8,399.2 this afternoon. "IHSG weakened in the first session today amidst the global and regional market declines," said the Samuel Sekuritas Indonesia Analyst Team in a written statement.

By the end of today's first trading session, 285 stocks had strengthened, 345 had weakened, and 220 had stagnated. The first session today recorded a transaction value of Rp8.5 trillion, with a trading frequency of 1.13 million times and a trading volume of 201.4 million lots.

During the first session today, foreign investors recorded a net buy of Rp176.8 billion. Based on volume, BUMI, INET, and BUVA were the most bought stocks by foreigners. "Meanwhile, DEWA, BULL, and BRMS were the most sold by foreigners," said the Analyst Team of Samuel Sekuritas Indonesia.

The stock of the oil and gas distribution company Buana Lintas Lautan (BULL) was the most actively traded in the first session of the day. BULL recorded a transaction frequency of 56,397 times, followed by GZCO with 49,002 transactions, and BUMI with 46,084 transactions.

In terms of volume, GoTo Gojek Tokopedia (GOTO) stock was the most traded in today's first session. GOTO recorded the highest trading volume at 32 million lots. Following it were BUMI with 27.2 million and BIPI with 10.3 million.

The technology sector index (IDXTECHNO) strengthened the most among the sectoral indexes in the first session of the day. It strengthened by 2.3 percent, followed by the property sector index (IDXPROPERT) at 1 percent and the cyclical consumer sector index (IDXCYCLIC) at 0.4 percent.

Meanwhile, the transportation sector index (IDXTRANS) dropped the most of all the sectoral indexes in the first session today. The IDXTRANS weakened by 0.6 percent. This was followed by the IDXFINANCE and IDXINFRA, which weakened by 0.5 percent each.

The Asian markets also tended to weaken, following the movement of the U.S. market. At the end of the first session today, Nikkei weakened by 2.6 percent, as well as Shanghai 1.9 percent, Kospi 4.1 percent, STI 0.9 percent, and Hang Seng 2.5 percent.

The top five gainers in the first session today, based on the percentage of increase, include:

BUKK (+25 percent to Rp1,925 per share)

BOGA (+24.4 percent to Rp840 per share)

GPSO (+22.2 percent to Rp740 per share)

CINT (+21.3 percent to Rp228 per share)

INDO (+21.2 percent to Rp292 per share)

Meanwhile, the top five losers in the first session today, based on the percentage of decrease, include:

PURI (-14.8 percent to Rp498 per share)

TIFA (-13.8 percent to Rp474 per share)

SKLT (-10.3 percent to Rp242 per share)

FOOD (-9.9 percent to Rp326 per share)

LAPD (-9.3 percent to Rp232 per share)
