TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The government has confirmed that the development of the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) in 2026 will utilize a Rp6 trillion allocation from the State Budget (APBN). This funding follows the issuance of the Budget Implementation List (DIPA) from the central government for several strategic projects.
"With the allocated budget for various strategic projects in the IKN, management must be accompanied by high responsibility and conducted transparently," said IKN Authority Head Basuki Hadimuljono on Friday, January 2, 2026, as quoted by Antara.
He stated that budget transparency is a collective duty to ensure state funds achieve high-quality development results.
Following the DIPA issuance, Basuki appointed treasury officials for the IKN Authority work units during an inauguration on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. These officials include budget users, commitment-making officers, payment order signatories, and spending treasurers.
During the event, all inaugurated officials signed an integrity pact to ensure accountable and transparent financial governance. For the 2026 Fiscal Year, the IKN Authority appointed 6 heads of work units, 24 commitment-making officials, 5 payment order signatories, and 3 spending treasurers.
Basuki reminded these officials to respect the public trust and avoid conflicts of interest during decision-making. He emphasized that all activities must strictly follow contract specifications to avoid legal issues. He also demanded that the new officials work professionally and maintain integrity to support IKN as a top-priority national strategic project.
Previously, the IKN Authority signed eight contract packages in early December 2025 to accelerate the second phase of development. "The second phase of development must be better than before. I believe this project will be a global example in the future," Basuki said. These contracts specifically focus on building the legislative and judicial areas, which are central to the next stage of the city's growth.
