TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has advised the residents of Jakarta and its surrounding areas to be cautious regarding the possibility of rain on Tuesday, 13 January 2026.
Based on BMKG's 24-hour weather forecast, thick overcast conditions are expected to occur in most parts of the Jabodetabek (Greater Jakarta) area in the early hours until morning, from 01:00-07:00 AM WIB (Western Indonesian Time). During this period, light rain is likely to fall in several areas of North Jakarta, West Jakarta, East Jakarta, South Jakarta, and Tangerang City. Meanwhile, the potential for moderate rain is expected in some parts of Tangerang Regency.
Entering the afternoon until around 01:00 PM WIB, BMKG predicts that light rain still has the potential to pour in some areas of the Thousand Islands, Tangerang Regency and City, and South Tangerang. Some areas in North Jakarta, Bekasi Regency and City, as well as Depok Regency and City, have the potential for moderate rain.
In the late afternoon until evening, precisely at 07:00 PM WIB, rain is predicted to hit most parts of the Jabodetabek area. Some areas are likely to experience light rain, while areas in some parts of Tangerang Regency and City, South Tangerang City, West Jakarta, South Jakarta, as well as Bogor Regency and City are likely to experience moderate-intensity rain.
BMKG records the air humidity in the Jabodetabek area at 70-95 percent, with air temperatures ranging from 24 to 30 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, the air temperature in Bogor City and Regency is predicted to be lower, around 20 to 28 degrees Celsius.
