TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) forecasts rain and thunderstorms in Greater Jakarta (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi) today, April 19, 2025.
Based on the official website bmkg.go.id and BMKG's official Instagram, today’s rain is likely to remain a drizzle, but thunderstorms are expected in several areas. Partly cloudy weather is to loom throughout the day.
Light rain is expected in West, Central, South, East, and North Jakarta in the afternoon, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time. Meanwhile, the Thousand Islands will experience rain with thunder in the morning and again in the evening.
Overall, the temperature in all of Jakarta is expected to range between 24-31 degrees Celsius. Wind speeds will be between 1-17 kilometers per hour.
In West Java, namely Bekasi Regency and Bekasi City, drizzles are expected in the afternoon, while Bogor Regency, Bogor City, and Depok City will also see thunderstorms. Rain in the Bogor Regency is expected to continue until 19:00 WIB.
The temperature in the Bogor Regency will be between 20-32 degrees Celsius, while in other areas, it will range from 22-32 degrees Celsius. Wind speeds will be between 5-10 kilometers per hour.
In Banten, namely Tangerang Regency, Tangerang City, and South Tangerang, BMKG forecasts partly cloudy weather. The temperature is expected to range between 24-25 degrees Celsius with air humidity between 90-96 percent.
