TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian film Agak Laen: Menyala Pantiku! has officially become the country’s highest-grossing movie of all time, attracting more than 10,250,000 viewers.

Directed by Muhadkly Acho, the film surpassed Jumbo (2025), which previously held the record with 10,233,002 viewers.

Ernest Prakasa, producer of the film under Imajinari, celebrated the milestone on social media. “I dedicate this achievement to the entire crew and cast who poured their skills into this work. Congratulations, friends, we’ve made history. Thank you, Indonesian moviegoers. Thank you very much,” Ernest wrote on Instagram on Friday, December 2, 2026.

Director and writer Muhadkly Acho also expressed his gratitude, posting on Instagram, “Allah is Great. Alhamdulillah.”

The film’s success drew praise from fellow Indonesian filmmakers. Angga Dwimas Sasongko wrote, “Soon it will surpass End Game! Congratulations, Cho!” Hanung Bramantyo added, “CONGRATULATIONS ONCE AGAIN. Amazing! Amazing! Amazing!!!” Mira Lesmana cheered, “WOHOOO! Congrats to all cast and crew! Bravo!”

Agak Laen: Menyala Pantiku! has been in cinemas since November 27, 2025. By December 25, 2025, it had already surpassed 9.1 million viewers, overtaking its predecessor, Agak Laen (2024), in less than a month.

The film now ranks fourth in Indonesia’s all-time box office list, behind Jumbo and KKN di Desa Penari, which occupy second and third place respectively.

Reflecting on the achievement, Muhadkly Acho said, “I always thought reaching another 9 million viewers was impossible, but I was wrong. My calculator is different from God’s. What seemed impossible for me turned out to be a small thing for God. Even now, it has surpassed the first film.”

The story of Agak Laen: Menyala Pantiku! follows four friends, played by Bene Dion, Boris Bokir, Indra Jegel, and Oki Rengga, who become amateur detectives. After repeated failures, they are given one last chance to go undercover in a nursing home and track down a suspect in the murder of the mayor’s child.
