TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Ciel Dubai Marina by IHG, the world's tallest hotel, is opening its doors. Standing at 377 meters tall, the hotel has 1,004 rooms and suites spread across 82 floors.
The hotel also has one of the world's highest infinity pools, with panoramic views of Dubai's coastline on the Arabian Gulf. The spa on the 61st floor will open in February 2026, complete with treatments, a state-of-the-art 24-hour fitness center, and skyline views.
Heinrich Morio, managing director of Ciel Dubai Marina, said they look forward to welcoming guests to this visionary landmark that redefines innovation, luxury, and creativity at every level.
“This extraordinary hotel reflects Dubai’s status as a global destination for tourism and business, offering an experience that is as elevated as it is unforgettable,” he said, as reported by The Independent on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
The hotel features eight restaurants, including the award-winning Asian fusion restaurant Tattu.
Guests can also access the Soluna Beach Club on Palm Jumeirah, which has a swimming pool and private beach. This place is perfect for relaxing by the pool or strolling along the beautiful beach. This exclusive club offers a private and peaceful retreat, far from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The World's Tallest Hotel
Ciel Dubai Marina now holds the title of the world's tallest hotel, surpassing the 356-meter-high Gevora Hotel in Dubai. The tallest hotel in a mixed-use building is the five-star Rosewood Guangzhou, located on the top floor of the 111-story Chow Tai Fook (CTF) Financial Center in China. The building is 530 meters tall, with 251 hotel rooms occupying the top 16 floors.
According to Guinness World Records, the mixed-use record differs from the "tallest hotel" record, which takes into account buildings with 85 percent or more of their floor space dedicated to hotels, and from the "highest hotel" record, which is determined by the altitude of the hotel above sea level.
The highest hotel record, according to the Guinness World Records, is held by the Hotel Tayka del Desierto in Bolivia’s Ojo de Perdiz Siloli Desert, located at an elevation of 4,600 meters above sea level.
