TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The figure of Eric Trump recently caught the attention of the Indonesian public following an accidental live-mic moment involving President Prabowo Subianto and former U.S. President Donald Trump at the Gaza peace conference in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, on Monday.
In recordings reported by NDTV, Prabowo was heard speaking with Trump after the latter’s speech, unaware that his microphone was still active.
Can I meet Eric?” Prabowo was heard asking in a video shared by Reuters on Monday, October 13.
Trump replied that he would have Eric call Prabowo, describing his son as “a very good boy.”
“I’ll have Eric call. Should I do that? He’s such a good boy. I’ll have Eric call,” Trump said.
Prabowo then suggested finding a more private place to continue their talk by saying, “We’ll look for a better place,” to which Trump reiterated, “I’ll have Eric call you.”
Both Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. are sons of the U.S. president and hold senior positions in the Trump Organization.According to the company’s official website, Eric Trump serves as Executive Vice President, while Donald Trump Jr. holds the position of Executive Vice President as well.
