TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - For Jakarta residents and those nearby seeking a unique thrill, the Autograph Tower at Thamrin Nine, Central Jakarta, offers an ideal weekend destination. This towering building, reaching 382.9 meters, provides the metropolis' panoramic vista from a glass-floored walkway and the highest swing in the city.

One of Autograph Tower's main attractions is UP at Thamrin Nine, an observatory deck offering a vast 360-degree view of Jakarta's cityscape. You will find several interesting spots to take in the views, including a glass floor, a giant swing, and an immersive space.

How to Reach UP at Thamrin Nine

If you are interested in visiting UP at Thamrin Nine, you can purchase tickets on the 2nd floor of Agora Mall, then take the elevator directly to the 99th floor. The journey to the top is an experience in itself: the elevator ride is not only super fast, taking just 45 seconds, but also features intriguing visual effects. Upon exiting the elevator, visitors will step into an immersive space showcasing Jakarta's development.

Outside, the Sky Garden features a small stage perfect for events or performances by DJs and musicians. As you climb the stairs to the 106th floor, you will discover a serene atmosphere created by a vertical garden area and mini waterfall installations. Once you reach the 106th floor, adrenaline junkies can try the UPswing, the highest swing facing the northern part of Jakarta and its surroundings.

Beside the swing, a bridge leads to the glass floor. From this area, visitors not only get a broad view of Jakarta but can also witness stunning sunsets. Walking on the glass floor offers another thrilling experience, providing a direct view below as if you are floating above the city. However, only 25 people are allowed at a time, and visitors must wear provided footwear covers and a phone safety harness.

Observing Jakarta doesn't end on the 106th floor. Visitors can ascend to the highest accessible floor, the 109th floor, via another elevator. This glass-enclosed and open area, though not as large as the 106th floor, also features a glass floor spanning three to five meters.

Tickets for UP at Thamrin Nine are Rp100,000 for adults and Rp70,000 for children aged 3 to 12. Riding the swing for two minutes costs an additional Rp75,000, and access to the 109th floor is Rp80,000.

Operating hours are Monday to Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB), and on weekends (Friday to Sunday) from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. WIB.

Autograph Tower Is Crowned the Tallest Building in the Southern Hemisphere

Recently, the Autograph Tower was officially recognized as the tallest building in the southern hemisphere by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH), a leading international authority in skyscraper buildings and sustainable urban design. The CTBUH recognition plaque signifies its excellence in design and construction, as well as its contribution to vertical urban development.

This record previously belonged to the Q1 Tower in Australia. Furthermore, CTBUH also acknowledges Autograph Tower as the future home of the World's Highest Outdoor Swimming Pool, which is currently still under construction.

According to Arifin, the Mayor of Central Jakarta, this achievement is not just about height and records, but also a symbol of a grand vision, bold innovation, and collaborative work.

"Soaring over 380 meters, the Autograph Tower is also a symbol of the spirit of progress, competitiveness, and the new face of Jakarta as a world-class center for business, investment, and tourism," he said during the inauguration on Wednesday, July 9, 2025.
