TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Samsung is set to open a pop-up restaurant named Sem Igual in Portugal, where each dish will be designed using the Galaxy AI technology from the Galaxy S25 series smartphones.
The restaurant offers a unique experience for guests, as each menu served is created based on visitors' selected ingredients and processed using AI-generated recipes.
As cited in Sam Mobile, restaurant visitors will be provided with the Galaxy S25 to photograph their chosen food ingredients—one protein source, one carbohydrate, three types of vegetables, and one sauce.
These photos are then processed by Galaxy AI to generate completely unique recipes. The recipes are then prepared by professional Chef João Dourado.
Sem Igual Restaurant, which translates to "Without Equal" or "Unique" in English, will only be open for two days in Lisbon on May 8 and 9, 2025. After that, the pop-up will appear in Porto on May 16 and 17. Samsung stated that its AI will pick from 25 different ingredients, allowing for thousands of possible menu combinations.
Although Galaxy AI does not directly replace the role of chefs, Samsung uses this concept to showcase the capabilities of AI in inspiring culinary creations based on available ingredients. Access to this restaurant is free and is part of Samsung's promotional campaign for the power of Galaxy AI and its latest products.
