TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto gave a gift to Toto, the beloved dog of Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, some time ago. Prabowo presented a medium-sized cream-colored box to Albanese. On the box, there was a photo of Toto wearing a red scarf with the words "Toto Bobby."

There was also a white T-shirt with red edges. The front of the shirt had the word "TOTO" in red, while the back had a picture of a dog and a cat. In addition, there was a set of striped strings with the word "TOTO."

The moment was captured in a photo and video that was uploaded by the @sekretariat.kabinet account on Thursday, November 13, 2025.

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said that giving gifts to the state leaders' pets is Prabowo's form of diplomacy. Diplomacy, he said, does not always have to be in the form of negotiations, discussions, or meetings in international forums.

"Diplomacy can also be done through education, defense and security, and arts and culture. Diplomacy can also be bridged by the two pets owned by two state leaders," writes Teddy in the @sekretariat.kabinet account.

Teddy said Indonesia has Bobby, also known as Bobby Kertanegara, Prabowo's beloved cat. Meanwhile, Albanese has Toto as his beloved pet dog.

"Bobby and Toto may never have met, but they have become symbols of the closeness between the two state leaders. Symbols of friendship between two countries," said Teddy.

Previously, Bobby, Prabowo's cat, received a gift during Albanese's visit to Indonesia in May 2025. During a dinner reception, Albanese gave a gift in the form of a red scarf with "Australia Indonesia" written on it to Bobby and put it on directly.
