TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto held a limited meeting with several ministers at his private residence in Hambalang, Bogor, West Java. The meeting discussed several topics, including strengthening industries, technology development, and downstream projects.
Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya provided information about the meeting. "On this Sunday, January 11th, 2026, President Prabowo Subianto held a limited meeting at his private residence in Hambalang, Bogor, West Java," said Teddy in a written statement on Sunday, January 11th, 2026.
According to Teddy, in the meeting, Prabowo requested the strengthening of the national garment and textile industry. One of the steps emphasized by Prabowo is the revitalization of the supply chain.
In addition to the garment and textile sector, Prabowo also discussed strengthening the automotive and electronic industries. Prabowo aims for the development of these industries through investment in semiconductor technology development.
Teddy stated that the strengthening of the automotive and electronic sectors aims to build the future industry. "To build the future chip industry in Indonesia, which will be used for the automotive, digital, and electronic industries," he said.
In addition, Prabowo also discussed plans for national downstream projects. One of them is through groundbreaking six new downstream project points worth US$6 billion early next month.
Prabowo also discussed other energy projects, namely the inauguration plan for the Pertamina RDMP Balikpapan Integrated Energy Infrastructure. "The plan to inaugurate the Balikpapan RDMP Integrated Energy Infrastructure by Pertamina tomorrow, Monday, January 12th, 2026," said Teddy.
The meeting in Hambalang was attended by several ministers and government officials. Among them were Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, and Investment and Downstream Minister/Head of the BKPM and CEO of Danantara Rosan Roeslani.
In addition, Minister of Agriculture Amran Sulaiman; Minister of Research and Technology/Higher Education Brian Yuliarto; and State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi also attended the meeting.
The meeting in Hambalang on Sunday was the second time President Prabowo invited the ministers to his home this week. Previously, Prabowo also held a retreat and evaluation meeting in Hambalang on Tuesday, January 6th, 2026, inviting all members of his cabinet.
