TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto held a virtual meeting with the ministers of the Red and White Cabinet on Saturday, March 28, 2026. Cabinet Secretary Lieutenant Colonel Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that the meeting was to discuss economic policies.
"On Saturday, from noon to late afternoon on March 28, 2026, President Prabowo Subianto held a limited meeting," said Teddy in a caption on the Instagram account @sekretariat.kabinet.
Teddy stated that about 15 ministers attended the meeting, which was organized through a video conference. Among those present were Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno, and Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa.
There were also Minister of Home Affairs, Muhammad Tito Karnavian, Minister of Manpower Yassierli, Minister of Investment Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Rini Widyantini, and State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi.
Teddy mentioned that the meeting between Prabowo and his deputies was to determine adjustments and decisions on several economic and energy policies.
The government is currently preparing various policy schemes to anticipate the impact of the global crisis. The ongoing war in the Middle East since late February has caused a surge in global oil prices and supply shortages.
President Prabowo Subianto expressed his desire to economize to face the potential crisis due to the United States and Israel's war against Iran. He conveyed this during the plenary cabinet meeting two weeks ago.
One option to reduce oil consumption is through the implementation of a one-day work from home policy for civil servants and private employees.
