TEMPO.COJakarta - The Indonesian National Police's Mobile Brigade Corps (Brimob) is preparing 350 personnel to support the UN peacekeeping mission in Gaza, Palestine. Commissioner General Ramdani Hidayat, the Commander of the Brimob Corps, stated that the personnel are currently undergoing basic training.

The training includes civilian protection, humanitarian response, discipline, rules of engagement, and the ability to adapt to the dynamics of international operations. He mentioned in a written statement quoted on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, that the number of prepared troops could increase or decrease according to the needs of the country, making the Indonesian National Police always flexible and responsive to global developments.

Ramdani stated that the police are ready to support Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto's policy in maintaining peace, protecting human rights, and aiding the brothers and sisters in Gaza, if Indonesia is requested to carry out that mandate.

The Head of the International Relations Division of the Indonesian National Police, Inspector General Amur Chandra, ensured that all prepared personnel meet the qualifications of the UN mission, not just the standards of the contributing country. Therefore, the police continue to prepare and train their personnel to be ready to be deployed at any time.

"We will await the official mandate from the UN and the President's orders before sending personnel to carry out humanitarian and peacekeeping missions, including assignments to Gaza," he said.

Amur added that the police are ready to actively contribute to maintaining world order based on independence, everlasting peace, and social justice, as mandated in the Preamble of the 1945 Constitution.
