TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Angkara Murka will be the sole representative from Indonesia to be featured at the Far East Film Festival (FEFF) 2025 in Udine, Italy. This debut film by director Eden Junjung is also nominated for the White Mulberry Award for Best Debut Feature, an award presented to the best debut film from Asia.
The internationally titled film Mad of Madness carries a horror genre with spiritual and psychological elements. Eden Junjung was previously known for his short films featured in international festivals, such as Happy Family, Bura, and The Intrusion. Through this latest work, he aims to elevate Indonesian horror to an international level. He also hopes to bring horror to a more personal and reflective domain. "Sometimes the most real horror does not come from the outside, but from the wounds we neglect," said Eden.
Synopsis of Angkara Murka
Ambar is a young mother who is forced to work in a sand mine after her husband mysteriously vanishes. But what she faces is not just the harshness of life, but also the intangible horrors that evoke old wounds and trauma.

The film is produced by Forka Films, a production house led by director and producer Ifa Isfansyah. "With Angkara Murka, we explore horror as a personal, spiritual, and political expression," stated Ifa.
