TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Bahlil Lahadalia, has ensured that the stock of subsidized and non-subsidized fuel oil is sufficient for the Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 holidays. He stated that all stocks are either above the national minimum reserve or sufficient for more than seven days.
"Our fellow citizens who are going to celebrate Christmas, do not worry about the fuel stock, Insha Allah, everything is safe," he said at a press conference at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources on Friday, December 19, 2025.
In his presentation, subsidized gasoline with Research Octane Number (RON) 90 is available in 1,567,490 kiloliters, which is sufficient for 19 days. Furthermore, non-subsidized RON 92 is available in 664,108 kiloliters, sufficient for 23 days, and RON 95 is available in 78,313 kiloliters, sufficient for 31 days.
Furthermore, Bahlil stated that subsidized solar fuel with Cetane Number (CN) 48 is available in 1,542,840 kiloliters, sufficient for 15 days. Then, non-subsidized solar fuel CN 53 is available in 52,655 kiloliters, sufficient for 25 days; kerosene is available in 36,376 kiloliters, sufficient for 27 days; and avtur is available in 426,852 kiloliters, sufficient for 29 days.
All business entities handling fuel oil must be involved in distribution during Christmas and the New Year. "Including private business entities. So, there is no excuse; all the goods are already available," he said.
Bahlil stated that demand will increase in major cities in Java, Sumatra, Sulawesi, and Maluku during Christmas and New Year. Later, PT Pertamina (Persero) plans to address the anticipated supply shortage by accelerating the distribution of fuel oil through its existing transport fleet.
The President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero), Simon Aloysius Mantiri, stated that the company will continue to provide energy services, attention services, promotional services, and additional services. Management is vigilant about delays in supply to Gas Stations (SPBUs) due to congestion.
"We can also send tankers that may be contraflow; we will collaborate with the police to help escort," he said.
