TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Women's National Team was defeated 0-2 by Pakistan in their second match of the 2026 Asia Cup qualifiers at Indomilk Arena Stadium, Tangerang, on Wednesday, July 2, 2026. Pakistan secured the win with goals from Nadia Khan and a penalty taken by Suha Hirani.

Despite the loss, Indonesia remains in second place in Group D with three points, three points behind group leader Taiwan, who has won both of their matches, including a 3-0 victory over Kyrgyzstan. Pakistan now sits in third place, also with three points but a goal difference of minus six.

Match Overview

Head coach Satoru Mochizuki made two changes to the starting lineup for Indonesia. Isa Warps, who scored in the previous match against Kyrgyzstan, was benched along with Rosdilah Siti. Their places were taken by Vivi Oktavia Riski and Reva Octaviani.

Pakistan’s coach, Adeel Mirza Riski, also made adjustments following their heavy loss to Taiwan. He replaced Amina Zaynab Hanif and Sanah Mehdi with Nadia Khan and Mariam Mahmood.

First Half

Indonesia dominated possession early on but struggled to penetrate Pakistan’s tight defense. Pakistan capitalized on a defensive lapse in the seventh minute, launching a quick counterattack. Nadia Khan’s run down the wing ended with a cross that deflected off Gea Yumanda and into the net, giving Pakistan the lead.

Ten minutes later, Pakistan doubled their advantage after Emily Julia Federica Nahon fouled Mariam Mahmood inside the box. Suha Hirani stepped up and converted the penalty to make it 2-0.

Indonesia attempted to respond but lacked accuracy in front of goal. Long-range efforts by Viny Silfianus and Felicia de Zeeuw failed to trouble the Pakistani goalkeeper. In the 40th minute, Zahra Muzdalifah struck a shot from outside the box that hit the post. Pakistan held their 2-0 lead into halftime.

Second Half

At the start of the second half, Mochizuki brought on Isa Warps for Claudia Scheunemann, hoping to turn the tide. However, Indonesia continued to struggle to find a breakthrough, with Pakistan maintaining a compact and disciplined defense. Isa’s presence was neutralized by the opposition’s low defensive line.

A key opportunity for Indonesia came in the 74th minute when Rosdilah Siti, introduced earlier in the half, delivered a cross into the box. Isa managed to get on the end of it but sent her shot over the crossbar. Just minutes later, Rosdilah attempted a long-range strike, but Pakistani goalkeeper Zeeyana Jivraj made the save. Another attempt from Rosdilah in the 84th minute also failed to produce a goal.

Mochizuki made another substitution, bringing on Estella Raquel Loupattij for Vivi Oktavia Riski in an effort to break down Pakistan’s defense. In stoppage time, Indonesia came close again when Marsela Yuliana Awi broke free for a one-on-one chance, but her shot was blocked by the goalkeeper. Rosdilah’s follow-up effort also failed to find the net.

Despite five additional minutes, Indonesia was unable to reduce the deficit. Pakistan held firm and sealed a 2-0 victory.
