TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian airline Garuda Indonesia has resumed its round-trip flights on the Jakarta-Doha route, as the situation in the Middle East improves. Garuda Indonesia's Operations Director, Tumpal M. Hutapea, stated that this decision was made after all flight safety requirements to Qatar were ensured.
"This decision also took into consideration the regional geopolitical developments in the Middle East airspace, which now show increasingly conducive conditions," said Tumpal in a written statement on Saturday, June 28, 2025.
He added that several other international airlines have also resumed flights to that region. Tumpal mentioned that Garuda Indonesia will continue to carefully and intensively monitor the situation with the related aviation authorities to ensure operational safety.
This monitoring is conducted jointly with Indonesian and Qatari aviation authorities, as well as in collaboration with Qatar Airways. In addition, these efforts also include optimal service recovery for passenger comfort.
Garuda Indonesia advises passengers traveling to and from Doha to regularly check flight status through Garuda Indonesia's official channels, both via the website and mobile application.
