TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - For plant and animal enthusiasts, this weekend the Flona Jakarta 2025 is present at Lapangan Banteng, Central Jakarta. The flora and fauna festival or Flona, which runs from August 1 to September 8, 2025, showcases a variety of ornamental plants and animals.

M. Fajar Sauri, the Head of the DKI Jakarta Parks and Forestry Department (Distamhut), stated that Flona Jakarta will be officially opened by the DKI Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung Wibowo, on Tuesday, August 5, 2025. "The Flona exhibition at Lapangan Banteng will be officially opened by the Governor on August 5, 2025," he said in Jakarta on Saturday, August 2, 2025.

Exhibition Agenda

This national-scale exhibition will feature various activities related to flora and fauna, environmental conservation, and showcase superior products from cooperatives, SMEs, and companies from Jakarta and various regions in Indonesia.

At the exhibition, there will be various booths representing the five administrative city regions and the Thousand Islands Regency. However, Fajar has not yet mentioned in detail the total number of booths available at the exhibition.

Not only for display, but the participants also sell various ornamental plants and animals. "There are quite a lot of sales booths. Participants are from plant and animal business owners, as well as booths from the representatives of mayors and the Thousand Islands Regency," explained Fajar.

He also stated that this exhibition is part of the effort to introduce Jakarta's flora and fauna potential to a global level as a global city.

The Flona Jakarta exhibition is open to the public and is an annual event eagerly awaited by plant and pet lovers. "This is a routine activity that is eagerly awaited. Many business players and communities actively register and participate in this event," said Fajar.

Although not yet inaugurated by the Jakarta Governor, the Flona Jakarta 2025 exhibition has been open to visitors since August 1. Because it has not been inaugurated, the exhibition visitors are not too crowded at the moment, making it more comfortable for visitors.
