TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Head of Information Center of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), Brigadier General Freddy Ardianzah, stated that a total of 100,000 personnel will be involved in the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the TNI at Monas (The National Monument), Central Jakarta, on October 5, 2025.
"It is planned to involve TNI personnel and civilians who are part of the Reserve Component and supporters, totaling around 100,000, which is still dynamic and subject to the needs and the parade of forces," Freddy said on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.
The personnel will participate in combat simulations, display the primary weaponry systems (alutsista), and secure the Monas area. Freddy explained that the TNI personnel are from the three branches: the Navy, Air Force, and Army. In the event, each elite force from each branch will showcase combat simulations at Silang Monas, Central Jakarta.
Furthermore, the personnel will also demonstrate the capabilities of their respective alutsista from each branch, including cavalry, artillery, and fighter aircraft. The technical preparations for the TNI anniversary celebration at Monas have been ongoing.
"The preparations are currently at the planning stage, with each field coordinator making technical preparations, including coordinating with the local government regarding the use of Silang Monas," he said.
It is worth noting that the series of TNI anniversary celebrations have been ongoing since August 2025, including sports competitions held simultaneously throughout Indonesia.
"Then, the TNI exhibition was held on September 21 and 22, 2025, featuring health services, distribution of basic necessities, alutsista exhibitions, and a presentation of micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM)," Freddy explained.
The activities continued with weekend camps for students in several schools, a naval parade by the Navy, and pilgrimage, leading to the culmination of the event on October 5, 2025.
