TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has warned the residents of Jakarta and its surrounding areas of the potential for rain accompanied by thunder and strong winds in the afternoon and evening of Tuesday, November 18, 2025. Light rain has been predicted to fall in some parts of the Thousand Islands since the early hours, while other areas are expected to remain heavily overcast until morning.
According to the latest 24-hour weather forecast from BMKG, the light rain that had only fallen in the Thousand Islands at dawn is expected to expand to almost all of Jakarta on Tuesday morning at 7:00 AM local time. By midday, the rain is also expected to shower Depok City, Bekasi Regency and City, Tangerang areas, South Tangerang, as well as the entire Bogor area.
In the wet weather conditions, the air temperature in Jabodetabek area (Greater Jakarta Area) is ranging from 25-28 degrees Celsius. The temperature in some parts of Bogor can drop to 20 degrees Celsius, but in the scorching afternoon, it could rise to as high as 31 degrees Celsius. The air humidity levels in Jakarta and the four surrounding cities range from 76 - 95 percent.
From 1:00 PM local time towards 7:00 PM local time, light rain is predicted to be widespread across almost all of Jabodetabek. Warnings of moderate-intensity rain potentially accompanied by thunder apply to parts of Depok City, Bekasi Regency and City, and the entire Bogor area.
